Im starting a pattern cutting and garment making course, im an absolute beginner, but i have been told to bring along a few things, i really need some advice on what best to get with regards to: paper/fabric scissors (any preferences?), pins (plain or with heads?), needles (what size?), tailor's chalk (plain or coloured or both?), tracing wheel (smooth or serrated?), measuring tape (normal or extra long? and also whether to have cm on one side and inches on the other or both cm and inches on the same side of the tape), pattern master (what is it?), set square (any particular one/size?), ruler (length? and does it matter if its metal or plastic?), pattern making paper (cant seem to find "pattern making paper" around, all i can find is squared paper, carbon paper and tracing paper?? and how big do i need it?), fabric for sampling (what is the best beginner fabric to get/use and how much will i need?)
